The short version

  • Your game stays yours. You give us a licence to host it, show it, and sell it or give it to players.
  • Player Two takes 10% of each sale and 5% of each stage of a raise as it’s paid out. The network fees are ours.
  • Payouts go to your studio’s payout address in USDC on Base, once a Player Two admin approves them.
  • If you raise, your identity is checked, your raise’s terms are fixed once it opens, and you deliver what your page promises.
  • Your game must be yours to publish, safe, and honestly described and labelled.

Your game, and our licence

  • You keep every right in your game. You give Player Two a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, show and hand out it, its page, pictures, trailers and builds, to players and when we promote it, for as long as it’s listed and afterwards as long as players’ libraries need it.
  • You promise the game is yours, or that you have every right needed to publish and sell it here (its code, art, music, sound and writing), and that it holds no malware and nothing the content policy forbids. Every build you upload is checked for viruses before players can get it; one where something is found waits for Player Two to look, and a build already live is held from players while we do.
  • You describe it honestly: its page, pictures and plan show what players will get, and its labels (who it’s for and what it shows, its languages and accessibility, its controller support and requirements) are true.

Prices, sales and fees

  • You set the price, from free to $500, and can put the game on sale within the platform’s rules.
  • From each sale Player Two takes 10%. If the game had a raise that shares its sales, its backers get their share as the raise set it, 40% or more. You get the rest.
  • Players can refund a second purchase of the same game automatically; other refunds follow the terms of service. A refunded sale is taken back from you, from its backers and from Player Two’s fee alike.
  • You can make codes that take a share off your game’s price, and give a free trial of it in the browser of up to 2 hours.

Keys

Keys you make give free copies of your game, for press and creators. Don’t sell them or swap them for anything, and don’t use them to get around Player Two’s fee or your backers’ share: keys are capped, and we can revoke ones that are misused.

Raises

  • To raise, you must be 18 or older and pass an identity check.
  • A raise either shares the game’s sales on Player Two with its backers (40% to 85% of every sale, for as long as it sells) or gives rewards only. Its goal, stages, share or rewards, and the day it opens are fixed once it opens.
  • Player Two holds the money and pays each stage, less 5%, once you post its proof and backers have had 3 days to object. A late stage goes to a backer vote, which can give 30 more days or refund what’s left.
  • Rewards are your promise: deliver them as your page says.
  • If you can’t deliver, say so: tell your backers, post an update, and work with Player Two on refunds.

Payouts and taxes

  • Payouts go to your studio’s payout address, in USDC on Base. A Player Two admin approves each one first, and a changed payout address holds payouts for 2 days.
  • You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn. We may ask for tax details where the law requires them.

Taking a game down

  • You can take your game down (archive it) at any time. Players who have it keep it in their library and can still open it.
  • Player Two can take a game down, hold payouts or close a studio that breaks these terms, the terms of service or the content policy, or when the law requires; where we can, we say why.
  • Money owed to backers or players from a raise comes first.

Liability

You are responsible for your game and for the claims that come from it. As far as the law allows, you cover Player Two against claims that your game infringes someone’s rights or breaks the law. The terms of service’s limits on Player Two’s liability apply here too.
